I'm gonna be buying a computer in the next few days and need some advice on this.

Intel Core 2 Duo E6700
EVGA 768-P2-N831-AR Geforce 8800 GTX
nForce 680i SLI 775 122-CK-NF68-A1 Version
WD Caviar 250GB Hard Drives X 2
Samsung DVD RW Hard Drive
Creative Xtreme Gamer Fatal1ty Professional
Windows Vista Home Premium 32 Bit System Builders
SAMSUNG 205BW
Patriot eXtreme Performance 4GB (2x2GB) 800 Hz
XLCIO Greatpower 650W PSU

So I have a few questions
1. I've heard that the X-Fi card has problems with the 680i MB. I've also read that the A1 revision fixed this, but is this so? Will I have problems with compatibility?
2. Will I have compatibility problems with the X-Fi and Vista? I've heard that the drivers suck, and that Alchemy doesn't fix drivers, it just fixes functionality lost from Vista, so I'm nervous about getting that.
3. Is the PSU enough?

Thanks for the input!

I'd get a P35 chipset board if I were you. DDR3, great clockers, Penryn etc. Also consider an E6600 and overclocking it rather than an E6700, those things are bloody expensive considering the minimal performance increase.

I've never heard of the PSU brand before so i can't comment, but personally I'd go for a more well known brand (Seasonic, Corsair, Silverstone etc).

Thanks. Which motherboard would you recommend? I'd like to spend under 230$ for the motherboard.

Also vista 32 bit will only recognize 3gb of your 2x2gb kit so it will be wasted, either get less ram or a 64 bit os

Yeah, I know, I'm getting a kickass deal on the 4GB kit though so it's all good.

As for how much, don't know yet. Don't think I want to though =P

GIGABYTE LGA 775 Intel P35 ATX Intel Motherboard Look better than the other one? Seems to be just as fast but with more ports and DDR3 support.
