hello,

1) when over clocking do i have to run those applications every single time i increase 5Mhz cuase that will just take a year to get to its highest point wont it?

2) how do you know what temp should i stop at? like if the components can handle more but getting hot what temp should i limit myself to?

3) the begginers guide said increase the FSB and it will increase CPU and Ram speed, so what bout graphics card like the 8800gt

thanks for reading and answering me questions :D

No problem. I should add that increasing the PCIe will not directly 'overclock' your gpu, more it will increase the possibilities of overclocking the GPU when you overclock it in windows. Think of it as opening a gate and letting a herd of cows trhough - the wider the gate, the more cows you can get through at once and therby the faster the farmer gets home for tea ;)

ok now i know to stop over cloking a CPU when it crashes unstable and hot, but does those programs test how stable the GPU is and temp etc.

Not the gpu no. Only 3d games or 3dmark will test that. All will crash if temp becomes an issue.

=/ i dont like crashing i panic and do stupid things like pull the plug lol i think i probably leave the 8800gt alone and overclock my CPU and Ram only i guess 8800gt is good enough for games today for now....
