Right i'm contemplating an upgrade as I am worried that my old P4 might not cut it if I fancy getting left 4 dead. Here's my current setup:

P4 2.8(Northwood) overclocked to 3Ghz+
2gb Gskill DDR Ram
ASUS P4c-800e Deluxe
ATI 1950GT 512MB AGP

Now I have a case, optical and hard drives and a decent corsair 520w psu.

What would be the best build for around £200-250 for the following:

CPU
Motherboard
Cooler (if necessary)
Ram
Graphics Card

You need everything so it's going to be very tight, if at all possible. This is about the best i can come up with:-

Your basket
Product Name Qty Price Line Total

Powercolor ATI Radeon HD 4830 512MB GDDR3 TV-Out/Dual DVI/HDMI (PCI-Express) - Retail £87.99 (£101.19)

Gigabyte GA-EP43-DS3L Intel P43 (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard £69.99 (£80.49)

Intel Pentium Dual-Core E5200 "LGA775 Core 2" 2.50GHz (800FSB) - Retail £59.99 (£68.99)

OcUK 2GB (2x1GB) PC2-6400C5 800MHz DDR2 Dual Channel Kit £15.99
(£18.39)

Sub Total : £233.96
Shipping cost assumes delivery to UK Mainland with:
DHL @ Home Next Day (Delivered Mon-Fri)
(This can be changed during checkout) Shipping : £8.49
VAT is being charged at 15% VAT : £35.09
Total : £269.05

To keep the cost down you can use the stock cooler that comes with the cpu for the time being. If you want a cooler too then the Akasa AK-965 (£12.64) is every bit as good as the more expensive Freezer 7 Pro. You did'nt say what res you game at. If it's 1280x1024 or less you may be ok with a ATI 4670 so you can knock £36 off.
