I can't remember the "completely correct" question, but I remember being told to ask "Is there any reason you feel I may not be suitable for this position?" question, throws it back to them and gives a quick idea of how you have done so far.
I always ask about training opportunities within the company, no idea if it's a wise question but it seems to work, they seem interested that I actually want to know, plus I learn a bit more about the job's potential.
Have a look at Huddy's interview guide, got some useful tips http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=17469564
As Haly has already said, ask about training opportunities. I'd also ask about potential growth, and which positions you can expect to move into. I don't think it's relevent to an Estate Agent, but I always ask about the benefits packages so I can compare them to what I get at present.
how do you see the company moving forward in the short and long term?
why has this post become available?
what do you think is the most important aspect of the role?
what is the usual career path?
do you offer any training opportunities?
do you promote from within the company usually?
what is the company culture like?
when will a decision on the appointment be made?
if any information that answers questions you would ask in an interview is readily available it will have a ngeative effect - so make sure you ask a question that you could not have found out the answer to easily.
Good man, hope the next one goes well
Better than mine did anyway.. all those questions posted above were answered for me, they kept asking me "any questions at this stage?" Errr.. no, you've answered everything. :/
"Have you ever felt like a man in a womans body", i find that a great icebreaker.
Also, if the subject of dogs licking their own genitals comes up during the interview, just ask " If you could, would you?".
Both of the above are surefire winners.
Believe me, the Taxpayer pays for my tactical questioning skills
I've never asked questions because I feel I need to. If there isn't anything I want to know I just say I dont have any.
I know most people say "always ask a question", but to be honest its stupid and any employer who prefers someone else to you just because they rehearsed a question they dont really care about isn't worth working for.
Who would I be working with if I did get offered the position?
Who are your competitors?
How many people do you employ?
What Servers/Operating System do you use?
Does my bum look big in this?
