Quick 360 HD cable query

We're getting a new TV on Monday which supports 1080p, and has the following inputs: HDMI, SCART, composite, component and VGA.

I got a 360 Premium for xmas, and I wanted to confirm that the supplied component cable will allow me to get the full 1080 HD through the TV? Or do I need to get a specific HDMI cable for the Xbox? I'm under the impression I don't, but I wanted to confirm so if needs be I can get a cable before Monday!

Component will be fine for 1080p.

The xbox can output 1080p via component but not all 1080p TVs can accept a 1080p source via component. The sony 40W2000 for example will only do 1080p via hdmi.

If you want it to upscale DVD's, i think you have to use VGA or HDMI.

hmmmm, ok thanks guys. Guess its a suck-it-and-see situation. Worst case I can go out Monday and buy a cable!
