So I'm thinking about getting a 360 for chrimbo and had a couple of quick questions:

At the moment the plan is that the 360 would go in the conservatory with the media pc. The media pc runs through a 22" sammy monitor so am I right in saying that if I want to hook the 360 up to this as well I need to get the vga cable as an extra? It can't hook up straight out of the box right?

Secondly a question about sound: obviously the monitor has no speakers of its own and I've got some spare phillips pc speakers in there at the moment. I can use these with the 360 but it would require some cable swapping every time I wanted to game, correct? Would an amp with multiple inputs and some cheapish speakers be a better option? (Or is that a question for the hi-fi forum?)

Thanks!

Yep all you need is a VGA cable and your good to go. It has an audio splitter that you can connect headphones/speakers if you so desire. Good choice with the 360 you will have hours of fun with it.

Just a quick note, with the VGA cable, be sure to get the OFFICIAL MS one, don't scrimp for the sake of a few quid with this, the official cable is far superior!

if the pc is connected to speakers and on a lot, you can feed the x360 out through the adapter that comes with the official VGA cable (another use for it ;)) into the line in on the pc, thats what i do :)
