Getting the CPU RMA'd for old problem I'm finally fixing (potential memory controller fault as RAM slots were not being recognised on two separate motherboards).

Which batch is the best overclocking? Gonna hope to ask for that specific replacement batch so I can get a 4.5Ghz model back. :o

I tried all of these and concluded the issue must be in the CPU, as the memory was compatible. Adjusting voltage did nothing as it was inconsistent.

While 1hr isn't enough, I want your chip anyway haha.

And yeah, I know. Just figured if I could ask for a specific batch I may as well as go with the one with the highest chance of good clocks.

Guys, I already did all of this months ago. The best explanation I came to was the memory controller, and someone else who RMA'd his chip for the same problem fixed it with another one.

So I'm gonna do the RMA. The memory is listed as compatible with the board and should be fine, and memtests showed the memory as okay, etc etc.
