Quick 5850 question

Hey all,

My bro has a 5850 and I personally have a 470 so am a bit new with regard to ATI and the 5850.

We wanted to OC the Video card so I installed MSI Afterburner but have notcied that the highest selectable frequency is 775MHz.

How can I overcome this, do I need to flash the BIOS, any info?

i do belive you can't, i could not get mine pass it when i had that card (non ref card).
With the Ref 1 card you can, i think.

You need to enable unofficial overclocking in the afterburner config file and add some disclaimer text to it as well. Can't remember the exact text as I don't have access to my machine at the moment. Seach these forums and you'll find it.
If I remember tonight I'll post it.

UnofficialOverclockingMode = 1


Should allow you past 775 if the BIOS allows it. My MSI was stuck at 775 before I changed this.
