Quick 6970 question

My nephew's just picked up one of these cards, I'm off to install it for him tomorrow. His res is 1440x900, so what can he expect from 2013/14 games from this card?

Good performance - partly owing to the low resolution. Quite a few games will manage high settings, and a few even beyond that.

That's what I was thinking/hoping. Excellent, he will be very happy considering he just randomly bought it off his friend

at that resolution he can expect play games pretty high/ultra settings, I owned 6970 for year and half or 2 years playing on 1920x1080 120 hz like bf3 at high settings , and metro2033 and metro last night games at high settings.

That card should be none too shabby for 1440x900.

I had a 6950 unlocked to 6970 at that same res on a 21" monitor and it was wicked. Very good card!!

Still have my 6950 unlocked to 6970. Good card, can't find any reason to upgrade it yet really!

Got 2 of them but running at 2550x1440 so thats 3.67 Million pixels compared to your 1.3 million pixels so will run games very nicely...as long as you have a half decent cpu to run it?

6970 will play almost all current games at 1080p at med-high settings perfectly, but start to struggle with ultra and / or high anti aliasing.

I've recently picked up a second and crossfired them and am very pleased with the scaling / performance jump
