My system needs som tlc, but my wallet is currently on hunger strike so I can't sort everything.
My GC is an old Geforce GTX 560 ti (I think 4 gb) my monitor, lol is a very old (I replaced the capacitors!) Samsung 204b.
I'm thinking of upgrading my monitor but I'm lost as to where to start, a lot of advice here is about not setting up a mismatch between the monitor and what my GC can drive.
Of course replacing the GC is on the agenda eventually, but I can't do both and my samsung really seems small these days.
Would something like this: https://www.overclockers.co.uk/sams...n-widescreen-lcd-monitor-black-mo-22a-sa.html
Totally destroy my gc?
Ok so what games do I play? almost no FPS games, World of Warships at most. I do have Xcom 2, Kerbal, Warhammer total war, CIV VI, Anno 2205 etc... My card sometimes struggles to run them at 1600 by 1200.
I obviously want a monitor that wont throttle my eventual GC upgrade, whenever that may happen, but I dont want to spend a tonne to not use what it can achieve! (any advice on how much I'd need to spend to improve my GC significantly would be appreciated too)
