Hey all,

Im about to grab a emahines E220HQVb for £80 but wanted to know if its 'true' HD etc, as ive heard a lot of rumours that a lot of monitors claim to be HD but dont actually put out 1080p? It claims its 1920x1080 and uses a VGA input? Is this VGA input the standard HDMI input? As im really confused on whether or not its a good deal and will be putting out True HD 1080p

Many thanks for all comments and ideas in advance!

Curtis :)

my current LG screen is VGA only and is fine @ 1920x1080.

and with previous screens i've owned that supported DVI and VGA, i couldn't tell the difference.

Thanks for the replies everyone :) i think imma go with the phillips aswell because its going to be an extra £13 for deliery for the emachines moniter which means its £3 cheeper to go with the phillips and i get an extra year warrenty aswell :D thanks so much everyone! :)

Just remember that a VGA only monitor will not be HDCP compatible, so could cause you issues later on down the line depending on what you want to do with it?

hmm, whats HDCP? and ive decided on the Phillips but im not sure if i should get myself a q9550 first as i have enough to get one and my e8400 is bottlenecking my 6970 on my 1440x900 screen already so i wont really be able to use the 1080p fully without a better CPU right? not sure what i should do :O
