Hello,

The game i play the most does not support the native resolution of a monitor i am considering buying which is 1920 x 1080. In fact i don't think it supports any wide screen resolutions.

My question is, would it be possible for me to run 1280 x 1024 on the monitor just when playing this game and just get black around the outside of the screen? or would it fill the full screen and just look stretched etc?

bit of a daft question, but ive never had wide screen.

The monitor:

Thank You.

You're referring to 1:1 pixel mapping and as far as I can tell from LG's website that monitor doesn't support it, so it would be stretched. Of course it could and they didn't bother to mention it.

Crilly - Thanks for the reply m8, very useful.

Can someone who owns or has used this monitor please confirm whether it supports 1:1 pixel mapping or not please?

Karl - Thats too much money for me, but thanks for the suggestion.

Could you suggest a good HD 22'' monitor that suites my needs at a similar price if possible?

thanks
