ok quick answer needed if possible.

i have problem i have just bought a amd x2 3800 and a asrock dual sata motherboard.....now unfortunatly this boar dosnt come with a standard amd cpu retention backplate......sp after phoneing several local computer store i managed to source one for a couple of quid.

but .....im looking to fit my currant watercooloing setup ...(storm waterblock) on to this board but i have found that the standard amd backplate interfears with the pegs of the retention module....

as you can see it is just too wide to go between the pins......now as i see it i can either cut the pins off... ruining the retention module ....or cut some holes in the backplate so that the pins poke through.

what you think is best....all i can assume is that not all amd backplates are quite as standard as i was led to believe.
