Quick Answer Needed - AC Freezer 7

It's pretty good for the price. It's quiet, but not completely silent. In a PC-7, a fairly average enthusiast case, you won't hear it over the case fans.

I've used a bunch of them in projects and I've always been satisfied with my choice.

It's not suited for extreme overclocking, mind you.

for its price I was reasonably impressed on a E2180 setup I done recently... Strugles with Quads however and at full speed is a little loud.. probably beter to spend a little more get a Thermalright 90 and a decent fan like a sharkoon silent eagle 2000 will cool better when you need it and u can run the fan at low RPM when you dont

The Freezer 64 Pro is basically the same thing, as far as I know, and it handled my Athlon 64 X2 6400+ setup at 3.4GHz easily and was completely inaudible over the case fans, which were Hiper 80mm(17dB rated) ones running off 7v. It was a damn fine cooler, in my opinion, so if the Freezer 7 is the same thing, yeah, thumbs up here.

have 1 on an e6600 @3.6ghz load temps of 58'c idles @28'c pretty good cooler for its low price

Excelent Cooler!

My E6400 went from 50/65 at 2.1Ghz under stock cooling, to 40/55 at 3.2Ghz under the F7Pro! It cannot be heard over my case fans.

I use it on a Q6600 and its definitely one of the best bang for buck coolers, and its on the friendly side of £30 unlike a lot of other coolers with equivalent performance :)

I use it on my e6600 oveclocked to 3.2 GHz. I don't have good airflow through my case however, so load temps are around 65deg. I suspect improved airflow should knock it down below 60.

for price you just cant loose on this cooler. i have one on my e6700 at 3.3/ idles around 30-32 and not seen it go over 50 yet. plus i run *** fan at 50% speed all time at 100% speed i can hear fan at 50 i cant

Is it possible to swap the fan on this? And if so would anyone recommend doing it? Or is stock good enough. Just wondering

You could probably cable tie another fan on the front easily enough. If you were going to faff around with adding a new fan to it though you might be better off buying a beefier cooler such a thermalright 90 with an aditional fan?
