I'm looking to put together an i5 rig and wanted an opinion on these two items:
850W NorthQ Black Magic Flex 80+ PSU
http://www.northq.com/products/powersupply/nq4775-850-flex.html
and
Silverstone PS01B-W
http://www.silverstonetek.com/products/p_spec.php?pno=ps01&area=usa
I can pick up the pair for the price of the PSU alone, saving me money and bagging me a more dependable PSU with another 200W supply over my budgeted PSU. The review I read of the PSU said it was fairly loud under heavy loads but as it shouldn't be running at more than 60% capacity I'm not too fussed, it's also reported to have very stable voltages even running at 1kW - is it possible to replace the 135mm internal PSU fan for a quieter one? I know this will void the warranty but I'm not worried about that.
I've also had a look at the case before and it's fairly attractive and should do the job however I don't want to cash out if it's going to have poor airflow or prove to be excessively noisey. My problem is that the only review I could find was in Thai, teh translationw as poor and it wasn't very thorough to begin with (unboxing it + taking a few photos).
However I can only get it today so I'd love a quick response if possible.
Cheers, Cyrl
NB: I'm assuming I can link direct to vendor sites so long as they don't sell the products direct?
