I intend to get this mobo at the end of the week. It'll be on a fresh windows SP2 install, and partnered with an x2 3800+ processor. Can someone give me a link to the most updated drivers or anything else I'll need to run at peak efficiency and speed? Also, obviously is there anything wierd, painful or eccentric I should get used to about this board? I'm after stable and fast with my new pc and x1800xt etc, and was told for my £50 ish budget this would be the best board out there...

Oh, and one final question, will I be able to connect my 5.1sound system, and microphone to the machine at once, haven't seen anywhere that details whether it has 5 sound I/O like my nforce board.?

Thanks a lot

Alex

This page has the answer to all your questions..

It has the latest drivers, bios, information on the asrock, basically anything you could want to know is here

To answer one of your questions - No the board doesnt have 5.1 - it has 7.1 :D

So I'll be able to plug in my 5.1 and microphone at once:D me happy now lol

Thinking of getting an XFI Fatal1ty as well, next month, along with a 2GB ram set, so even if I decide I hate the audio, its getting replaced in 4 weeks anyway ^^

One question though, I know I'd be installing collective driver Uli packaged as chipset drivers, but if they have to come seperately, would I HAVE to install the AGP drivers if I dont intend to use an AGP card?
That asrock page doesnt have the chipset drivers on, but the page tells me what ULi drivers to get, so all should be fine :)

Is this correct order of drivers to install?
1)Uli drivers
2)Sound
3)Lan
4)AGP
5)AMD 1.2.2.2 Cool N Quiet/Dual Core driver
5)Gfx card drivers

Just done this myself, you will not regret it, the difference in sound quality and clarity is amazing, it adds a whole new dimension to games and films especially BF2 and Quake4, it has actually made me want to play Quake 4 for a second time just for the pure difference in the sound of the game :D
