quick ati-nvidia

Slightly off topic, but I have always wondered, Nvidia have the better marketing strategy with "the way its meant to be played" partnership and their drivers being better suited to new games on initial release due to the links with more game developers than ATI, so how come theres much more support for xfire than SLI? Anyone know?

i was wundering this myself thats the main reason i asked

personally, from all the niggly problems I read about both SLI and crossfire, I think it's a better idea to just have one decent card.

what ever your doing wait! the next gen cards will be out soon and you dont want to be left with a 4890 when everyones moved onto 5870's etc, especialy if your plannng to buy two! and of course the longer you take to plan the happier you'll be! I know its hard but you wont regret it!

I have always preferred having 1 powerful card in my rigs.

I had an SLi setup several years ago with the 6600GT and I never had any problems, but the performance was pretty much identical to 1 x 6800GT...
