not being a keen photographer, merely a cheapo digi point and shoot (which I still havent upgraded! but f30 will be soon)...I looked it up.

The 35 mm LOMO LC-A camera employed an unusual lens which produced large amounts of distortion at the edges of the image whilst keeping the center sharp

does this mean the PS effect has darkened the edges on your piece? Not really noticing any distortion. or has it overexposed the middle to give the bright white boat, and the bright dry piece of wood sopping it from floating away?

I havent got as far as checking goole image for any other examples though.

Basically a lomo camera is famous for being abit rubbish, so people buy DSLRs costing about £500 and then lomo it up in PS. Some people like the lomo effect some don't. Much like HDR, IR, Tilt shift etc.

Asides from that I like it, simplistic but nice. That buoy in the background it abit annoying, maybe try cloning it out?
