Quick BF2 Installation Query

Well the new patch royally screwed my BF2 with the game refusing to load with a nice error message, so ive uninstalled and gonna start from scratch.

The question is...is what order shall i install BF2, Special Forces and the Full 1.2 patch for a painless installation.

GODDAMMIT!!!! im getting the same message again!!!

"Application failed to initalize properly"

i think it had something to do with some configs being left over. I've started all over again...

grrr!!!! i keep getting patch failed errors. im about ready to throw my favourite game in the bloddy bin. Been trying for an hour and a half now to install it!

ok i finally got it all working. Turns out the problem was installing the game to a drive other than a windows partition causes problems with patching....and battlefield requires a hell of a lot of patching.
