Quick BF2 Question

Hi all,

Installed BF2 on Sunday night, got 1 night of gaming in, and now im having nothing but problems!!

First: Would not connect to account server, no error given, just stuck on that screen (had to CTRL - ALT - DEL out everytime), this was fixed by disabling my Router firewall.

Second: When I goto connect to a server (i.e pick one then click connect) The game would just crash to desktop with no reason etc :(. I have tried a google search but it did not bring up anything thats relevant.


Hope someone can help as it is annoying me!

I found that with the crashing to desktop, the only thing that solves it is a reinstall... Pain in the ass, i know, but it always seems to fix it for me, for a while at least.

I have only just installed the thing :(
 
To play BF2 without any hassle you really need 2Gb of Ram .

I occasionaly have connection isuues at times , Saturday night was murder.

What your ping like when you do get on a server ?

My specs:
AMD Athlon x2 (4200)
2GB Ram
X850 GTO (512)

I am currently using wireless until i can re-route the Ethernet cable around the house :( - It all seems to be working now though, had to reinstall. Just takes a while to connect. So unsure of ping

Loading screen of new maps takes ages too :(
