ok, this is kind of mobo, cpu, ram and overclocking related, so rather than posting in all 4 sections, or posting in the wrong one i will make it a general question.
basically fitted 2x4GB DDR3 1333MHz ram to my system. post and works fine, but its running slower that my 2x2GB DDR3 1333MHz ram was. when i look on cpu-z it says my cpu:ram is 2:1 (or 1:2 cant remember) and that the voltage for the ram should be 1.50v. in the bios its set to auto (1.65v) but if i try to change it to 1.5v the machine wont post.
my cpu is overclocked to 3.6GHz (by upping the fsb to 240) and thats all. so :
1. is there any way to change the cpu:ram ratio or is that mobo dependant?
2. why would my ram run slower (have only used WEI so i know its not accurate but as a whole the pc feels slower)?
3. why wont my system boot with the rams recommended voltage?
