I'm about to put a cheap little system together to replace my sisters old Athlon XP system which is on it's last legs !
Gigabyte GA-MA770T-UD3 mobo
AMD AthlonII X2 255 3.1GHz CPU with retail heatsink & fan
2Gb (2x1Gb) Kingston KHX1333C7D3K2/2G DDR3 1333 RAM
Coolermaster Elite 430 Midi-Tower case
Nvidia Geforce 9800GT 1Gb
2x 500Gb Western Digital SATA HD
Sony DVD-RW SATA
1 year old Antec ATX PSU (430w or 520w I think)
Some of the bits I've already got hence the VGA card, PSU etc. Only things I'm getting new is the mobo, CPU & RAM.
Will the RAM be OK ? ? On the Gigabyte & Kingston websites, they say about using the Value RAM instead of the higher spec RAM I have put down here. I would like to use Kingston memory as I can get it cheap from work !
The PC will not be overclocked or used for games etc. just a nice little system for internet, MP3's, photo's etc. with Windows XP.
What you guys think ? ? ? Any issues you can see ? ? ?
Cheers
