Hi,

My father-in-law wants to build a budget pc. He might do some gaming with it but isn't sure - so that's not very helpful

He has given me approx £250 to suggest some parts although I think he may have to stump up a little more than this.

He won't need peripherals or OS & already has a case and a 1gb storage disk.

The case is a Gigabyte GZ-MA03 (micro-atx) so we need:

PSU - a superflower 350w or similar should be fine

CPU or APU -

RAM - he wants 16B no real reason though so i can prob talk him down to 8GB

MOBO -

Cheap SSD for boot drive -

GPU - this is where i'll have to tap him up for more money if an APU is no good or doesn't make sense in the budget.

Cheers!

An APU makes sense, providing he's only an occasional gamer who cares not a jot about the framezzz.

This will all work. Won't set the world alight but it'll do.

Thanks for your reply.

I haven't spoken to him yet but what mobo & ram could you recommend if I bumped the apu to the AMD Kaveri 7850K?

Cheers
