Hi all,

Should I be using a DVI cable with my Samsung 23.6" monitor and ATi Radeon 5770 HD?

I'm using the VGA that came in the box at the moment with an adapter to fit to the GPU's DVI port.


Would a DVI cable make a difference?


Sorry, I have no idea about these things. Any help appreciated.
 
yes. end of thread.

At the moment you are connecting the vga to the monitor so it's basically running an analogue signal, using the DVI one should improve the quality as the signal is now digital
 
Might as well use the DVI cable as it's Digital and should give you a better picture but the difference is almost impossible to detect :)
