These 3 cameras (entry SLR cameras) are in my tesco store here for 72, 99 and 128 in that order. Which is the best for the money? Need to know as I'm in the shop here and they are all reduced. Thanks

I know but I thought general would get a fast response. I'm currently walking round with all 3 boxes in my trolley waiting for a reply. Thanks I'll repost there

They aren't SLRs for a start, they're bridge/superzoom cameras and aren't really comparable to SLR cameras.

Anyway, I'd skip them all and pick up a Samsung WB720 on eBay for £69. Marginally better performance than the Olympus in a similar form factor for a bit less cash. Also a wider lens (24mm vs 28mm) so better for landscapes and small spaces.

If you must have them now I'd go for the higher end Fuji, but it's not an amazing deal or anything.

New entry level SLRs are usually around the 300-350 mark with an 18-55 lens. Currently you can get the Canon 1100D for £252 by using a discount code and getting £30 cashback from Canon.

Before going out and buying an SLR consider what you want it for, generally they're not something you just buy then never spend anything else on, memory cards, lenses, tripods, bags, filters etc. all add up.

I'm an amateur photographer I do it for fun really, sick of mobile phone cameras. I'd like to be able to shoot photos of scenery in Cumbria and Europe in general and possibly shoot YouTube videos. So will the sz10 be good for this? Or the s2980? To be fair these are around 40 cheaper than the s4240 and are 18x optical zoom vs the s4240s 24 optical zoom. Thanks

Like I said, consider what type of photography you want it for.

If you mostly shoot landscapes go for the one with a wider lens, if you want it for birds, wildlife or sports then the longer zoom may be of use.

You'll outgrow them fairly quickly.

I've got a 24x Panasonic FZ45, and I'm already starting to find some massive limitations. As a decent bridge it goes from about 25mm-600mm (or something like that), which actually to be fair, is great in terms of I never am lacking in the right focal length. I just miss out in other areas...
