Hello All,
Need a little help with a spec for a friend. All he needs is a PC for internet browsing and use of Dragon Dictate software. No fancy graphics or anything so on-board should be more than sufficient. The budget is £250 Max, including an OS and delivery.

i wouldnt trust that PSU as far as i could throw it. sure, it'll work for a bit on something this low end, but when it goes pop it will almost certainly take something out with it. it'll also be very inefficient, meaning a more expensive, more efficient PSU would be cheaper in the long run. unfortunately that'll push you over your budget:

if your willing to go for some of the B grade stuff, you can get a motherboard thats AM3+ compatible (with a bios update). that means it could be upgraded to an AMD bulldozer chip when they're released (rather than being stuck on a socket that intel left behind ages ago)
