Quick check before the order

Hello,

Just wanted to do a quick check before I order some new stuff.

CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Pro Q6600
Mobo: Gigabyte GA_P35_DS3P
Mem: Crucial Ballistix 2GB (2x1GB) DDR2 PC2-5300C3 (4GB WORTH)
GFX: OcUK GeForce 8800 GTX

I'm looking to OC the CPU and RAM. When I asked before someone said that the ram would overclock well maybe even into the 8500 bracket, would this still be the cast with that mobo and using 4 sticks? Also what do people think of that mobo for OC'ing the q6600?

Looks good to me. Are you running a 64 bit OS though in order to fully use all 4GBs?

The crucial RAM you have selected is supposed to be good (very clockable), but also has a higher failure rate. Not particularly bad though, and Crucial supposedly have one of the best support services.
 
Looks good, if you're going to OC that quad core CPU, you're going to need a decent CPU cooler. Try something from the houses of Tuniq, Scythe or Thermalright :D
