Quick check for MAC please...

Using safari 3 beta on my mac, the page opens quickly, then the video gives the following error, it seems its just a plugin missing

The page “Romeo & Juliet on Tour” has content of MIME type “application/x-mplayer2”. Because you don’t have a plug-in installed for this MIME type, this content can’t be displayed."

:) MacBook Pro with Safari 2.0.4.

Tried it with Firefox, it does the same, but at least links me to the plugin required to play the clip!

hope this helps ;)

Thanks,
it's Media Player 9 or above.
Do you not have Media Player installed?

Could you tell me what your default media player is please.

I have a 15" MacBook Pro 2.4ghz Intel core 2 Duo, that I've only just bought, hence me lacking the correct plugins :) which I have now installed for Safari 3.03 beta and Firefox 2.

My OS is OSX 10.4.10

Works fine for me too. MacBook/OSX 10.4.10

Your problems are going to begin when you implement the rest of the page and try to make it look good in IE. :p

As I'm sure you're aware, different browsers interpret the html rules differently. You can have something that looks perfect in firefox but when you open it with another browser it can be a jumbled mess. MS Internet Explorer is the worst offender for this because they dont stick to the HTML standards. Even something as simple as aligning content on a page can be a headache when IE doesnt do it in the same order the other browsers do.

When I was writing webpages (amateur) a large percentage of my time was spent looking for hacks to make things that just worked in firefox/opera/safari simply look right in IE.
