Hey

Ive decided to buy one of these

Intel Core 2 Duo E8600 LGA775 'Wolfdale' "Overclocking E0 Stepping" 3.33GHz (1333FSB) - Retail

Someone suggested using the

Asus P5Q3 Deluxe @ Wifi-N Intel P45 (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR3 Motherboard

Ive noticed that i dont need the wifi, so was wondering if this was/is similar:
(i.e. same board with out the wifi)

Asus P5Q Deluxe Intel P45 (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard

Was also considering this ram:
Corsair 4GB DDR2 XMS2 Dominator PC2-8500C5 TwinX (2x2GB) Supplied with Airflow Fan (TWIN2X4096-8500C5DF)

What Heat sink?

Ill be getting an ATI (Powercolor ATI Radeon HD 4870 PCS Extreme 512MB) i dont suppose theres much of a difference between the cards except for the makes.

this will be Run on an 500/600 watt psu. would it be worth getting a 650 gb HD (heard they run slightly quicker)

Cheers !

the variation in cards is mainly in the warranty, but some cards may have a different cooler. personally I'd go for whichever has the longest warranty, and fit a cooler myself.

the size of the drive isn't what governs how fast it is. the samsung f1 drives are about the best 7200RPM drives around at the moment.

yeah the deluxe should be great.

I'd go with either a tuniq tower, or a thermalright ultra extreme (with a yate loon) but the latter isn't in stock at OcUK.

You'll need to check that either fits your case.
