Quick check on spec.

Hi guys looking for a bit more advice before i buy.
i currently have a msi gd-65 motherboard and a 4870x2 with a 700w psu.
looking to buy some of the geil 2133 ddr3 ram and the i7 860.
it will be used for gaming not a lot else, so would it be better to go for the i5 or is it worth £80 to get the i7 860 ?
i do like the idea of 8 threads (will they be used in future games) ?

What processor you got and what monitor you use, i dont think a 4870x2 upgrade would be worth spending money on, as it should run every game pretty well on max settings.

its a e6850 on a n650sli mobo with 8gb of ram clocked to 3.4ghz from 3ghz as any higher it blue screens (**** mobo) i think the cpu is bottlenecking the gpu (only just got the 4870x2)
oh and its a 22" monitor running 1920x1080.

just bought the i7 860 as there was only £67.00 diffrence, so hopefully i have a fun time building over the weekend after i pick it up

cant wait.
hopefully there is a nice big diffrence.
