Hi all,
Just upgrading my audio machine from a Q6600 based system.
Here is what I'm about to order from Overclockers.

Intel Core i7-2600K 3.40GHz (Sandybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor - Retail

Crucial RealSSD M4 64GB 2.5" SATA 6Gb/s Solid State Hard Drive

Zalman ZM600-HP Heatpipe Cooled 600W Modular Power Supply

Gigabyte Z68A-D3 Intel Z68 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard

2X Corsair Vengeance Blue 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9B)

Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro Rev 2 CPU Cooler (Socket 939 / AM2 / AM3 / 775 / 1155/ 1156 / 1366)

OCZ 2.5" to 3.5" SSD Adaptor - (OCZACSSDBRKT2)

I already have a DVD drive, OS and Data drive etc.

All look good?

Which has DVI/HDMI and VGA outputs if you dont have a graphics card?

I have a passive cooled pcie nvidia card so should be fine there.

I forgot to mention, there maybe a chance in the future I will also be using this machine to game on I have a gtx470 in my other machine which may makes it way in to this system depending on if I need the extra space in my room!

I'm not really in to Overclocking in major way.

Changed the ram thanks the smaller size on the heat sinks I think will be useful!

It will, the other reason to change the board was to get Lucid Virtu and Quciksync.

Lucid Virtu and Quciksync - never heard of that!

But I know the Gigabyte brand is used lots on audio systems that our supplier uses at work and wanted to stick with or as close as possible to their builds.

So if I change the board to:

That will give me the the Lucid Virtu and Quciksync features but sticking with the brand and chipset I was looking at yeah?

Thanks for the advice - I checked some youtube videos of the features and I think if I do make that in to my gaming system in the future it will be a useful feature to have.
