Hi
got a question i need help on

in a a titration we are provided with a solution of an unknown monoprotic acid which we represent with Ha. we titrate it using standard sodiumhydroxide. what is the equation for the reaction if Ha represents the unknown acid and sodiumhydroxide is NaOH. This is a neutralisation reaction i think. ive come up with
NaOH + HA=NaA + H20

Anyone know if this is right??

thanks for any helps

I'm no expert but shouldn't you balance it as well? If you did wouldn't it look something like:

NaOH + 2HA=NaA2 + H20 possibly?

Sorry my chemistry is dreadful.
