Can you play online with 3 people on the same console?

EDIT: Ooops, wrong forum. Can a mod move to Console Gaming please?

its a no go

player matches [unranked] on cod 3 were possible with a few players but i think i used the feature about once

So you could in COD 3, but you can't in COD 4? Or you can but you never use it?

You can play upto 4-player splitscreen against each other on 1 console but not online. Or you can have upto 16-players over a LAN, which would obviously be on 4 consoles. But theres only support for 1-player online.
