Quick compatibility check

Hi all

can you please confirm that this motherboard:

is compatible with this SSD:

I cant see how it cant be?

on the crucial website, it says to check compatibility. That specific board isnt on there, but the other asrock itx is. it says its incompatible. I tried a live chat with crucial, and he confirmed, but he seemed to be reading it from somewhere, and offered no reason other than "its showing as not compatible". I suspect its a "computer says no" situation.

According to the compatibility checker on the Crucial website that board (Fatal1ty Z270 Gaming-ITXac is on there) and SSD aren't compatible, so I would take Crucials word for it rather than someone's google-fu.
 
it is on there, ive found it.

Very weird its not compatible... its M.2, its SATA, no reason why it wont work. i guess i'll pick something else. shame as it comes with a 5 year warranty
 
so i contacted Crucial for a better explanation on why its listed as incompatible. It turns out that because the ITX board has built in wifi, that is also connected via M.2, its this port its incompatible with (i knew this already, that port is not suitable for SSDs) the other M.2 port on the back of the board, will work just fine.

I guess if it didnt have wifi, there would be no confusion and it would be showing as compatible.

So, good to go!
