quick compatibility question ?

doing a budget build for a friend and due to budget I will need to go amd. Not done an amd build in years so basically is this http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CP-314-AM&groupid=701&catid=1967&subcat= compatible with ASRock 970DE3/U3S3 Motherboard (Socket AM3+, AMD 770, DDR3, S-ATA 600, ATX)
you may need to google the mb I dont see it on overclockers! thanks guys

The Cpu support list for FX 4 does`nt show your particular model, but i would be surprised if it did`nt work. Then again i am not all that familiar with AMD. tRY ASKING IN THE cpu or Motherboard Forums, you may have better luck.

It does bar slightly different model name, but you need to check the BIOS revision of the board.

Seems the CPU has 2 different part numbers:

The bios on that mobo is P 1.00., the Cpu is support form Bios P 1.10.

I suppose, if you use a cpu supported by the current Bios.
