Bought a PowerColor ATI Radeon X800 XL to replace a Sapphire ATI Radeon X800 GTO ( I know it isn't much of an upgrade..try telling my brother-in-law this though).

Took old card out plugged new card in and no signal to monitor.Checked the card for an extra power connector socket but there isn't one.Reset BIOS still no signal.Monitor is a VX912 TFT.

Plugged old card back in PC boots fine.

Borked card right?
 
Nope it isn't there..plus even without one I should still get an on-screen warning to plug in the extra power right?
