Just wondering if these new Intel CPU's will use current Mobo's or are they going to be a new socket design requiring a new Mobo.

Conroe will be on LGA775, however exact chipset compatability is up in the air at the moment.

There are some boars about already that are supposed to support it, however personally I'm holding out for DFI's 975X board that will support Conroe.

Any motherboard with the 975X chipset should support it HOWEVER, motherboard manufacturers have crippled Conroe support despite the chipset supporting it by not using the new VRM circuitry (or something) around the socket.

doesn't that also have something to do with some boards not supporting conroe, because they don't support the CPU's low vcore?
