quick cpu purchase question.. x4be or x61055T

Your building a whole new computer to test what *could* be a broken GPU?
not really read again, i have all the other bits.. but this has motivated me to buy the system
btw think my gpu is just not liking my 2006 g33 mobo tbh

Do as Big.W suggested and do some research as you have untill tuesday 11am to order to get it by wednesday.
Just tell your partner that you have ordered the x6 and some ram and say the price of them together with shipping but dont order untill tuesday.

well kinda too late as ive told her the 1055T is what i need and she said yea go for that one..
so i guess that makes it easier

You told her the 1055T is what you 'need' and she said 'yes' so there you go.
If you dont like the turbo mode on it you can disable it and do a manual overclock via BIOS or AMD Overdrive whilst keeping Cool N Quiet on to save energy.
What cpu cooler do you have and what case?

why dont you just go with 1600mhz its only like 5-10 more?
im using
1055t
1600mhz corsair 2x2 gb kit
gigabyte GA-890GPA-UD3H (i got rev 2.0)
booted fine out of the box but the memory on auto was only set to 1333mhz speeds so i manually edited the memory settings which was as simple as changing the memory divider to 1/4 , the memory voltage to 1.65 and all the other memory settings had the SPD settings of the memory sticks listed next to them so changing them from default to the 9-9-9-24 was easy enough

i would say x4 965be and either x6 1055t ot 1090t still best buy so depend how much u spend... i used X6 1090T and my dad using x4 965be that both are much excellent... x4 running 4 core to flow as x6 using 2 add core total to 6 plus add turbo core. it up to u which one u going for
