Have a 5870, thinking of adding a second for crossfire, now does it need to just be any old 5870 or should it be the exact same card i.e. my Gigabyte 5870.

Also it is presumeably safe to do this on a 1000W PSU?

it is a cooler master, cant remember model, real power M1000 i think. it is about 3 years old now so i dont think you can get it anymore.

the motherboard is the gigabyte x58a-ud3r which i'm pretty sure can handle crossfire. just thought it was cheaper then buying a new graphics card

Yeah when I built the original spec I really maxed out on the PSU, think it was about £200 at the time.

Excellent - so just any stock 5870 will do for this?

Cheers again
