Quick disconnect drain

Going to try an alternate drain solution.

Am I right in thinking that this:

Screws into an item such as block or rad, then I would use this:

To put on the tube? Looks like it has an incorperated compression fitting, is this right? Or would I need to use one of my compression fittings attach to it?

And where in a Enthoo Primo would be the best place for the drain? I have a bay res, quad in the roof and triple in the floor.

So lowest point would be my triple rad in the bottom, do I want the QDC on the inlet of the rad or the outlet? I am presuming inlet so mavity can do its thing.
