Quick Disconnect Fittings?

Guys,

Was thinking of adding some quick disconnect fittings to my loops so that it makes it much easier to swap out components.

Now has anyone got any experience with using these do they cause restrictions with regards to the flow of coolant?

As they sound like a great idea going forward into the future but dont want to suffer temp and coolant flow wise.

Thanks for advice in advance :)

They will restrict the flow a bit but if you have a good pump and not to many blocks and tubing you should be ok, i'm using 4 of them on an large external rad setup and for me not a problem still have low temps.

BTW should really be posted in the watercooling section.....

Got 2 sets of VL4s!
Plan your loop properly and they will be a god send! But they are not cheap though.
I have mine set up so that I can remove the motherboard tray with ease!

Koolance ones are great I have literally all my components linked with them. I have noticed no change in temps since I added them either and it makes things loads easier if changing components.

i use koolance QDCs and they are really good one thing i will say tho is the orange o rings are really soft and you want to be carefull with them because they easily split.

VL4 for me too - pump/res/rad on one side - blocks on the other.
If you tweek they make life so much easier.
If your Rads are external they are a must.
If you use universal cpu and gpu blocks they have limited value.
In set and forget loops they are pointless.

CPC ones are best of max flow - but are plastic and twice the size of the koolance ones.
VL4 for best flow / min restriction of the koolance range

As for the o rings on any G1/4 threaded end - you really should use new o rings every time they are screwed to new hardware.
