Hey people,

I have the Netgear WNDR 3700 and I have a possibly stupid question but I got to ask it :D

To acheive 600mbps what do I need to do and is my understanding correct..

I have a laptop with a Wireless N adaptor that connects to the 5ghz band.

To then connect to the 2.4ghz band I would need a seperate wireless usb stick? or can this be done from one wireless card?

Thanks

:)

To the best of my knowledge and understanding, you will a wireless dongle/card, which can work "dual band" just like the router itself simultaneously.

I can not recall any such card of the top of my head, so go by what previous poster mentioned, or wait for someone else to come here with another card model. Please note most of the existing wireless cards in laptops etc are not compatible with "simulatenous" dual band functionality...

I have a dual band wireless card which is the Intel 6300 AGN.

I am still really confused how this works any ideas people?

That card does 450mbps. I would set the card to the 5ghz band as there is less interference than 2.4ghz.
