Quick duel channel ram question

Hi all, I had 8 g of ram at 1866 which was a duel channel kit. Today I upgraded it to 16 g by buying the exact same set again. My question is, is it ok to run two duel channel kits rather than buying a quad channel kit?

I'd personally go for a Dual channel kit. Duel channed will just slow the machine down with all that infighting.

edit: Though, having 4 sticks may reduce how far you can push your machine as it makes the IMC work harder, or something.
