Quick DVD Recorder Question....

Hi all,

Just a quick Q. pls.

In DVD Recorders - What mode records in real time quality - i.e. Broadcast quality etc...?

XP, SP, LP, EP, SLP, SEP

...or do these modes vary depending on the make/model of recorder?

It does differ by model, but generally 'SP' is known as standard quality.

My Toshiba XS-32 gives that as well as a few lower rates, and also one other higher quality option.
But I can't tell SP apart from the actual broadcast so it's good for me!

On mine the best possible is HQ (you only get over an hour though) however next best thing is SP which is about 2 hours.
