Hey guys

I'm currently selling my car on Ebay and someone with 0 feedback as bidded on it. I would've given him the benefit of doubt if he was a new member but he's been registered for around 6 months.

Problem is there is only an hour or so left on the listing and its up to around a grand and I don't really want to be trusting this on a guy with 0 feedback do I?

What should I do?

Thanks
Ben

Also if anyone wants to buy a silver ford fiesta ;)

Its not as if they are going to claim it never arrived!

Everyone has to start somewhere. Where are you based?

Cash only, check its real, if at any time you are unsure, pull out (Always wise words :D).

Based in North Wales bud.

Yeah I realize that he has to come pick it up and stuff so can't really do the old it didn't come on me, but will I have to repay my listing fees if he doesn't pay? Cost me a fortune so don't fancy doing it again.

No you don't have to pay eBay fees if you file a non-paying bidder claim. They will ask the buyer to pay and then will re-list the auction if he doesn't after a certain period. The buyer will receive a non-payment warning.

If you don't mind me asking do ebay take 10% for cars? Why didnt you put it on Auto Trader or Piston Heads etc?

I wouldn't worry as you've put cash on collection in the ad. If the deal falls through, don't you get to relist for free? Also, the ebay account you're selling it through is less than 3 weeks old so wouldn't you expect the buyer to perhaps be a little concerned too?

I have it on Pistonheads as well and I wasn't aware ebay could take any of the payment if it came in cash?

Naa because they take 10% of the final auction price. Doesn't matter how they pay. Enless it's different for cars, I've never sold a car on ebay.
