Hi All,

I've got a massive spreadsheet here and one column titled "Date Received" and all the dates in the cells below are marked up as "DD/MM/YYYY"

Can someone quickly tell me how to sort these out into oldest first please?

Thanks :)

EDIT: Figured it out

Highlight column (or the whole sheet if you want each row to be sorted in line with the corresponding date), then:

Data - Sort - Sort By ("Date Received") - Ascending

That what you mean?

If you have used the custom date formatting of dd/mm/yyyy then you can just select the whole column and go to Data > Sort, if it gives a Sort Warning (it should do) then ensure you expand the selection and then choose the column you want to sort by and do Ascending.

That should do oldest dates at the top if u did it right.
