I'm plotting data which has a zero y-axis origin, and a near 0 x axis origin, however the excell graphs produced from this data creates a negative Y axis aswell- it just looks bad, can anyone please tell me how to rectifiy this-- ive looked around google to no avail. i'm on office 03.. muchos thanks

Try looking at the Axis options and set a Fixed value of zero against the Y axis.

That's odd ... setting the Minimum axis option to a fixed 0 should stop the chart from showing any negatives. The line will simply disappear, then reappear when it comes back as a positive.
Could you try this with a fresh chart and use some simple numbers between -10 and +10 over a number of days / weeks/ months / whatever ...? Just to prove that it's not a bug with your original set of data / chart.
