How did you do it out of interest?

I tried quick select, magic wand and the extract tool, but with a mouse whilst defragging it was kinda interesting.

I just did it using magic wand, couldn't be bothered to think of a more efficient way and im waiting for windows to install so I thought might aswell do it nice

How would you do what they have done in the original pic, i.e. the detail removed and filled with a colour?

Was probably drawn in Illustrator. Possibly traced over an original set of photos as a montage because the london skyline does quite look like that IRL
