Quick first 5 quake live beta invites

OK, so I logged onto the Quake Live beta and after a couple of rounds I checked the status of the invites I have already sent....The keys have all been removed.
Upon checking the forums questions are being asked without reply from the devs etc. I will recheck situation later tonight after my shift.

Anyone else thats in the beta seeing the same problem?

I doubt anyone will be receiving an invite in the short term at least. Nothing is concrete but invites may have been frozen.

Invites have been suspended possibly because the game is about to enter the next phase i.e "Open Beta"

I've never played quake properly but really looking forward to this. Can you create your own config or is it all done through the browser?

You can create your own config too. It's not too different to Q3 in terms of options, you just also have the ability to do basic config via the webpages

I've heard about this quite late, is a high spec PC required? Currently running a Q6600 2GB + On board video

I gave up gaming on the PC, but the thought of playing Quake again is so tempting.
