I need a few 45 and 90 degree fittings and was wondering what Phoyba fittings are like? I understand Bitspower is the leading company for it but is difference justified for an extra £8 on each fittings?

I've always gone with the assumtion like many other's here that fittings are fittings. Just like a nail is a nail. A better brand is not going to make it work any better it just might look prettier.

That said on my build I used bitspower compression fittings because I wanted the fancier look. I also bought them from a store in the USA which worked out quite a bit cheaper than buying them in the UK.

i use generic ones; but have had a few iffy 45 deg fittings (the 90's seem fine). the problems i've had are just the 45's having a bit of wobble, and sometimes with the hose pushing it on one edge causes a small drip. wiggling the fitting gets it to stop, i know that sounds dodgy, but i've got 2 that were funny and both of them have been leak free for 2 months now, so they can be 'fixed' if you're willing to take the risk :p
i'm sure the phobya ones will be great quality, and not suffer the same as the crappy ones i've got, but obviously koolance/bitspower make far more awesome looking gear, it's up to you to decide if it's worth the extra money for a bit of sparkly or just go with something thats just as functional but without the extra bling factor

Those EK angled adaptors have G1/4 inner threads. So any barb with G1/4 thread will fit.
There are 3/8, 7/16" or 1/2" inner diameter(ID) barbs with G1/4 Threads available in OCUK.
Barb size matters very little for the flow, so chose what you like :) just make sure they are G1/4 threaded!

Could you trust me the place? I'll be heading to the states at Christmas. Or did you have them mailed over here, wouldn't postage be an issue?

I got them posted to the UK. Granted the postage was a bit high but then they was also the only place that I could find had some EK 480GTX backplates which I wanted. They do postage by weight so as long as you don't order loads it should be fine. I also didn't get hit by custom's either, but as with everything being imported there is always that risk.
